This Privacy Policy explains how Juggll ("the App," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information. By using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information
When you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive a limited profile from the provider, which may include your email address and display name. We do not collect your password, phone number, or any additional personal information.
Grocery List Data
We store the grocery lists, items, aisle configurations, and related data you create in the App. This data is stored on our self-hosted servers to provide the App's features, including syncing and list sharing.
Analytics Data
We use PostHog to collect anonymized usage analytics, such as which features are used and how often. This helps us improve the App. PostHog may collect device type, operating system, and general interaction patterns. No grocery list content is sent to PostHog.
Error Reporting
We use Sentry to collect crash reports and error logs. These may include device information, operating system version, and technical details about the error. This data is used solely to identify and fix bugs.
On-Device AI Processing
The App includes optional AI-powered item categorization. All AI processing happens entirely on your device. AI models are downloaded once and run locally. No grocery item data is sent to any external AI service for classification.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide and operate the App
- Sync your grocery lists across your devices
- Enable list sharing with other users you invite
- Improve the App through anonymized analytics
- Identify and fix bugs through error reporting
We do not sell your information. We do not use your information for advertising.
3. List Sharing
When you share a list via email invite or shareable link, the people you share with can view and edit that list's content. Only users you explicitly share with have access.
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on our self-hosted servers. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure.
5. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:

6. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

You have the right to:
- Access the data we hold about you
- Request deletion of your account and data
- Stop using the App at any time
For Users in the European Economic Area (GDPR)
If you are in the EEA, you also have the right to:
- Access your personal data
- Rectify inaccurate personal data
- Erase your personal data ("right to be forgotten")
- Restrict processing of your personal data
- Port your data to another service
- Object to processing of your personal data
- Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent
Our legal basis for processing your data is:
- Contract performance — to provide the App's features (list storage, syncing, sharing)
- Legitimate interest — to improve the App through analytics and fix bugs through error reporting
- Consent — for optional features like AI categorization

For Users in South Africa (POPIA)
If you are in South Africa, you have the right to:
- Request access to your personal information
- Request correction of your personal information
- Request deletion of your personal information
- Object to the processing of your personal information
- Submit a complaint to the Information Regulator

8. Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the App or by other means. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
